Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need an internet connection to use KidsAllowance?
No. KidsAllowance works completely offline. All data is stored locally on your device. You can use the app anywhere, even without internet access.
Q: How many children can I add?
There is no limit on the number of children you can add. Manage allowances for all your kids in one place.
Q: What allowance cycles are supported?
KidsAllowance supports two allowance cycles: Weekly and Monthly. You can set different cycles for each child.
Q: How do chores work?
You can assign chores to each child with a reward amount. Set frequency as one-time, daily, weekly, or monthly. When a child completes a chore, you mark it as completed and they earn the reward.
Q: What are savings goals?
Savings goals help children learn to save for things they want. Set a target amount and track progress visually. Kids can contribute their allowance or chore rewards toward their goals.
Q: Can I export transaction history?
Yes! Go to Ledger > Export to generate a CSV file with all transaction records. You can share this file via email, AirDrop, or save it to iCloud Drive.
Q: Is my children's data safe?
Absolutely. All data is stored locally on your device. KidsAllowance does not collect, transmit, or store any data on external servers. Your family's financial information stays private.
Q: What expense categories are available?
KidsAllowance includes 10 built-in categories: Snacks, Toys, Books, Games, Clothes, Stationery, Movies, Savings, Gifts, and Other. You can add notes to each transaction for additional details.
